This article shows you how to limit the number of members who can subscribe to a plan. This is a great tool if you want to create scarcity by, for instance, limiting the number of students who can sign up for a class or the number of people who can take advantage of a time-limited pricing offer.

Creating a Plan Limit

  1. Log in to Memberstack and click Plans on the side menu.
  2. Select a plan and then click Signup Rules in the next panel.

  1. Switch on the toggle to enable the limit tool.
  2. Go to the Maximum number of members field and enter a number.
  3. Click Save.
  • FYI  The greyed-out field shows the total number of members currently subscribed to this plan.

  • If a new user tries to sign up when the plan limit has been reached, Memberstack displays an error message.

Editing the Error Text

Optionally, you can change the text in the message:

  1. Click Settings on the side menu and then select Translation.
  2. Switch on the toggle.
  3. Scroll down to the heading The plan member limit has been reached and enter your custom message.
  4. Click Save.
