It's important to note that when a member cancel's their account via the Stripe Customer Portal, they will retain access to content until their subscription ends. I.e. if they sign up for a monthly plan on the 1st of the month and cancel on the 15th. They will retain access until the 30th.
How to Renew Before the Cancellation Date
To reactivate a plan which is set to cancel (but hasn't ended yet), your customer should:
- Go to your site's login page and enter the credentials they used in the past to create an account.
- Click the button on your site that contains the data-ms-action="customer-portal" button. More info about the Stripe Customer Portal.
- Check the plan information and click Renew to re-activate the subscription.
There’s no need to enter any payment info.
Your customer's subscription is active again!
How to Renew After The Cancellation Date
Here's a scenario: one of your Webflow customers cancelled their subscription and three months later they want to sign up for a new subscription.
Thankfully, reactivating an old account is quick and easy. Because we save payment information, your ex-customers can signup for a new plan with just a few clicks.
To reactivate a cancelled plan, your customer should:
- Go to your site's login page and enter the credentials they used in the past to create an account.
- Navigate to the pricing page where they can select the plan they want to pay for.
- This will launch a simplified version of the Stripe checkout where they can confirm the purchase.
There’s no need to enter any payment info.
Your customer's subscription is active again!
