It is important to note that when a member cancels their account via the Stripe Customer Portal, they will retain access to content until their subscription ends. I.e. if they sign up for a monthly plan on the 1st of the month and cancel on the 15th. They will retain access until the last day of that month.
1) How to Renew Before the Cancellation Date
To reactivate a plan which is set to cancel (but hasn't), your customer should:
- Go to your site's login page and enter the credentials they used in the past to create an account.
- Click the button on your site that contains the data-ms-action="customer-portal" button. More info about the Stripe Customer Portal.
- Check the plan information and click Renew to re-activate the subscription.
There is no need to enter any payment info.
Your customer's subscription is active again!
2) How to Renew After The Cancellation Date
Here's a scenario: one of your Webflow customers cancelled their subscription and three months later they want to sign up for a new subscription.
Thankfully, reactivating an old account is quick and easy. Because we save payment information, your ex-customers can signup for a new plan with just a few clicks.
To reactivate a cancelled plan, your customer should:
- Go to your site's login page and enter the credentials they used in the past to create an account.
- Navigate to the pricing page where they can select the plan they want to pay for.
- This will launch a simplified version of the Stripe checkout where they can confirm the purchase.
There’s no need to enter any payment info.
Your customer's subscription is active again!
