Abandoned Cart Emails

Did you know that on average, 70% of online shoppers abandon their carts before completing a purchase? That's a lot of potential sales left on the table. One way to recapture some of those lost sales is by sending abandoned cart emails. In this article, I'll show you how to set up abandoned cart emails using Memberstack.

Setting Up Abandoned Cart Emails

1. Go to Settings → Emails: Navigate to the Settings section of your Memberstack dashboard, and then click on 'Emails'.
2. Click on the 'Abandoned Cart' section: Scroll to the bottom to find the 'Abandoned Cart' section and click on it.
   
3. Enable Abandoned Cart Email: Toggle on the 'Enable Abandoned Cart Email'.
   
4. Customize the email content and settings: The default email always includes a 'Continue to Checkout' button, which, when clicked, will open the exact same checkout that the member abandoned previously, with all the same settings, plans, and price IDs.
   
   The content section supports Markdown, so you can get creative with the email content, even adding coupon codes to incentivize members to complete the checkout.

Scheduling

By default, the 'send after' parameter is set to one hour, as our research indicates that the best two options are thirty minutes or one hour. 

Email Content

As mentioned earlier, the content section of the abandoned cart email supports Markdown, allowing you to get creative with the email content. For example, you could provide members with access to specific coupons to incentivize them to complete the checkout.
