How to link Webflow forms to Memberstack members and automate emails when users are added to plans? Answered

Hey there, some questions to the memberstack team:

  1. Is there any way to associate a webflow form submission with a memberstack member? The form is only accessible to logged in members.
  2. I've set up my memberstack memberships so that members need to be manually added to a plan in order to access gated content (free plan). I was wondering if there's any way to set up an automation for emails to go out to a member upon being added to a plan? It seemed that this is not native to memberstack, however I'm hoping you might have a suggestion.
  3. can i use Memberstack custom fields for dropdown field?

Thanks in advance!

    Hey Rachel Schapira,

    1. In case the webflow form is intended to update Member data like custom fields in Memberstack, you can do so via profile update forms.
    2. You can setup an automation via Make / Zapier to listen to new plans added to the member and send them a mail via your preferred mail provider like gmail / mailgun etc.
    3. Yes, you definitely can. Here's a guide on how to set that up as well.

    Hope this helps.

Is there a tutorial when users are added into a Plan, that they get an email?

There are some starter guides which will explain the triggers and actions you can take by connecting Memberstack to Make / Zapier. This should give you some ideas of what each trigger does and you can start applying those on the platform whichever suits your use-case.
If you get stuck while setting it up, feel free to drop your questions on this channel.
