    Hello!

Can someone tell me if the following is possible using Webflow + Memberstack?
I want to have a small store with the following capabilities:

    1. Prices of the products will be updated once a day based on the price of gold. If a product is in a cart already, it will be updated as well.
    2. Users can login in the future to see their previous purchases and their value today bases on the price of gold.

    Are these possible?
How will the payment with dynamically changing prices work?

    Hi Guy,

Memberstack won't be a perfect fit for the pricing part of your flow since you'd have to be updating prices daily- which isn't possible when you create a plan/price on Memberstack. You can only create a plan/price but can't edit. In this case, you may have to resort to other payment methods, while Memberstack handles other things such as user authentication, gated content, and other features we offer.

For handling payments, you can use Webflow's eCommerce functionality combined with Memberstack. However, due to the dynamic nature of your pricing, you might need to:

    • Use a custom checkout process that can handle price updates until the moment of purchase. This could involve integrating a third-party payment processor that allows for dynamic pricing.
    • Ensure that the final price is confirmed with the user before processing the payment, especially if prices are subject to change due to the fluctuating price of gold.

While complex, this setup offers a highly customized shopping experience that can set your store apart. If you're not comfortable implementing these features yourself, consider hiring one of our experts experienced with Webflow, Memberstack, and API integrations.

Hello, I was wondering if there is a way to add an offline payment method for new members. For instance, if they wanted to pay by check. This would put their membership into a "Pending" status until we cash the check and mark the order as "completed".

I haven't heard of an offline payment option available in Memberstack. However your can set something similar as a workaround.

    1. You can create a coupon code and send it after you have received a payment from the user
    2. You can create a plan (free) to segregate these types of users and manually assign the plan to them after you have confirmed the payment
