How to build a gated travel guide marketplace with Memberstack that controls access to individual purchases and provides multi-level dashboards? Answered
Hello, Memberstack team!
Hope you’re doing great. We’re building a website that will sell travel guides from specific creators. Each creator will have up to 5 travel guides to sell.
Each transaction will be one payment that’ll give the buyer access to 1 travel guide. We need to be able to show the buyer only the travel guide they bought. The rest of the guides must remain gated.
We would also need 3 dashboards:
- One for the admins of the website, where they can see all sales and all creators.
- One for the creators, where they can see all their sales per product.
- One for the users, where they can see all their purchased guides.
- Is this something we could do with Memberstack?
Thank you!

Hey Coco 👋 If I understand correctly, it sounds like you want to build a 2-sided market place. If that correct, I’m sorry to say that Memberstack won’t be a good fit. 😞
We’re focus on 1-sided marketplaces and products.

Hey Duncan! Thanks for your quick response.
What about if I removed bullet points 1 and 2? Could we just do the 3rd, where a user can see every asset they had access to?
Yes! That one is possible. 🥳 At a high level, you’ll need to create a dashboard with all of your products on it. And then use data attributes to show/hide products depending on a members plans.
I’m still working on this article, but it says a bit more about how it could work.
