How does pricing work for the Business Directory template during and after a free trial? Answered
Hi, I’m a little confused about the pricing for the Business Directory template. I see that there are two different prices listed. If I’m currently on a free trial, does that mean I’m considered subscribed and eligible for the lower price? And if I choose the lower-priced option, do I need to begin and continue making subscription payments to keep the template?

Hey Hyun Young Lee,
Based on this video in the Business directory template page, you can opt for any paid plan (i.e. even if you opt for Basic paid plan in Memberstack), you will be able to get the template for the discounted price (i.e. $89).
The costs are shared in detail in the video linked as well. But to give you some high level context, to launch your site (i.e. after you have tested things out in test mode site), you will anyway have to opt for a paid plan as per your requirements. So, in case you are purchasing a template, it could benefit you to have a Memberstack subscription beforehand, so that you get the template at discounted price.
Or if you want to wait and test the template out in test mode site and not get Memberstack subscription at the moment, you could purchase the template at the usual price ($179) and then later on get a Memberstack subscription when you are ready to launch the site.
So to answer your second question, the subscription is not to keep using the template (because you get the template at one-time price), but it is so that we launch our sites on the custom domain (without the Test mode badge etc.) and have the ability to allow more members on our site (in test mode the member limit is 50, once you get a subscription, you can scale your user-base to 1000 / 5000 / 10000+ members and get other features based on the plan you choose).
Hope this gives you some idea.
Thank you. I understand that I’ll probably need to subscribe to Memberstack and purchase the template. What I’m not clear about is when I’ll need to purchase the Webflow CMS plan, since it’s tied to a specific website. Could you please clarify this part for me?
Is the following the correct process?
I create a website in Webflow=>you will apply the template to this website=>I will need to buy a CMS plan.
Or the website creation will happen when you deliver the template to me?
Hey Hyun Young Lee,
Welcome 😇
I would suggest the process to be something like:
This flow will ensure that you have the base template, on which you can build out your customization rather than having a site built and trying to transfer all the features one-by-one from the template to your site.
Hope this gives you some idea.
A J Thank you. I am done with the first bullet point.
