How to create member-only article content in Webflow with Memberstack while showing preview paragraphs to non-members? Answered

Hey everyone,

I’m looking to set up a CMS in Webflow where only the first paragraph of an article is visible by default. To read the full content, users would need to be logged-in members. Is this possible using Memberstack? Example: https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2025/06/30/how-donald-trump-got-nato-to-pay-up

Additionally, I’d like to include an option field in the Webflow CMS to specify whether an article is public or gated. That way, I can control the visibility of each article directly from the webflow editor. Is this setup supported?

Thanks in advance.

Hey Bhavya, you can check this free template out. It handles both of your use-case, if you want to offer the article for free, you just have to keep the "Post Body (Paid)" field empty and it will be shown to all users. If you want to have a switch mechanism in the CMS, you can clone the template and change the visibility logic based on the switch field accordingly.

While the template offers free or paid article view based on the plan, you can customize it for non-members or members via appropriate attributes. Hope this helps.
