How to set up paid temporary access - can Memberstack work without a Webflow subscription? Answered

Greetings,

I'm a total newbie trying to create a $1 7-day access to a selected space on my website.

I'm confused. Do I have to subscribe to Webflow to use Memberstack? Are two subscriptions necessary? What can I accomplish with only Memberstack, or is that even an option?

Thanks for your help,

Michael

    Hi Michael,

Great question, and you’re not alone. This is a common point of confusion!

Memberstack isn’t a website builder, so you’ll need a platform like Webflow, WordPress, vanilla HTML/CSS, or another site builder to host your actual site. Memberstack then integrates on top of your site to handle memberships, gated content, payments, etc.

So yes, if you’re using Webflow for your website, you would need both a Webflow subscription (to host and design your site) and a Memberstack subscription (to manage logins, payments, and access).

With only Memberstack, you wouldn’t have a website to connect it to but once connected to a platform like Webflow, WordPress, or even a plain HTML site, you can absolutely set up something like $1 for 7 days of access to a specific space on your site.

    I hope this helps.

    Chukwudi,

    Thank you for your clarification.

If I have a plain HTML site how do I set up Memberstack with it? Is there any guidance within Memberstack on how to do this? Any generic components to help?

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

    Michael
