How to change Stripe account in Memberstack without rebuilding the entire app from scratch?

Hello,

I need to change the stripe account, from the documentation offered by memberstack,  I understand that I have to create a new app from scratch. I hope it's a joke, otherwise I don't understand the value of this tool.
Do you know if it's possible just to duplicate the app, keep the database (members), SSO integrations, and just change the stripe account details?

Cheers

Tom C I wish it was that easy, but Stripe is the "source of truth" for Memberstack. If you have paying members, paid plans, etc all of that information lives in your Stripe account. By swapping accounts you're changing the source of truth.

But we may still be able to help. Why are you changing Stripe accounts? And have you looked into migrating your customers/subscriptions/products from the old account into the new one?

    Hello,
We started with the stripe account of my cofounder (his own holding), as we created the newco, we now have a new stripe account (linked to our new co).
I don't understand why we we cannot just update the new stripe account numbers.

Could we have a call to find a solution ? My developer told me it was complicated to change the stripe account with memberstack, really dispointed...

We’re currently processing subscriptions through Stripe with a company account (B). We’ve now created a new company, (FR), with its own Stripe account.

We’d like to switch all payments to the new Stripe account. Can you please coordinate with Stripe Support to help us migrate existing subscribers without forcing them to re-subscribe?

Since this is a critical step for us, we’d really appreciate if you could handle the process with Stripe or guide us through the exact steps required.

Thanks a lot for your support!

Tom C we don't have the necessary permissions to manage that migration in Stripe for you. You will need to coordinate with Stripe and then once the products and subscriptions are in the new Stripe account we can change over the Stripe accounts. Please give us as much heads up as possible so we can schedule the change. The closer together the migrations the better.

Alternatively... is there any chance you can take ownership of Stripe account B?
