How to send login credentials via email when creating Memberstack accounts through Zapier from Paminga signups? Answered

Hi everyone, I’m trying to integrate two platforms using Zapier: Memberstack and Paminga (email automation platform)

  • Using Paminga to collect user signup’s + info (first + last name, email, etc.) a portion of this info triggers Zapier to send this info to Memberstack where Memberstack will create login credentials, using the email address they provided when signing up
  • How do I configure this integration so that an email gets sent to the user [where the email includes their email as their username/login, a temporary password, and a link to a page where they will use these credentials to login and immediately change their password?]

Hey Ciara Pattugalan, you can connect any mail platform to Zapier as a 3rd step, where you send this customized mail with all the necessary info to them including the password you set for them.

Or as an alternative, in the 3rd step, you could send the link to a Forgot password page (which you can style as a reset password page visually) and let them reset their password right from the beginning and login to the website.

    Hello Ciara,

I see that Paminga is like a private app in Zapier and it doesn't have much documentation about it. So I'll be just assuming the steps to take.

You should use Paminga form submission as a trigger, with the received information, you will create a new user, and after the user has been created you will send an email using an email marketing provider. It looks like Paminga is used as trigger only in Zapier, not as an action to send emails 🤔

Memberstack doesn't have an option to create "temporary passwords". So you'll have to enforce the users to change their passwords by setting on a custom flow with a custom field or set up passwordless logins so the user can login with a code that gets sent to their email
