How to resolve clipboard data error when trying to upload Dark Mode Sign Up Form in Webflow? Answered

Hey! Webflow won’t let me upload signup forms. Error message is “Couldn’t read native clipboard data”

I’m trying to copy and paste the component from the memberstack dashboard into my designer workspace in webflow.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Could you show which one? Maybe I can try from my side to test it out.

Most of them show 'Clone in Weblow' option, so you can clone it in your workspace and fetch it from there if you have that option. If not, you can show which component and I can see if I can find it somewhere.

I’ve tried a few of them, but the form I want to use is the Dark Mode Sign Up Form.

I’ve tried cloning it into Webflow and copy and pasting it over to my site, but I’m receiving the same error message with that as well.

I tried cloning this dark signup form in webflow and copy pasted the section_big element in my personal site without any issues 🤔

If you are copy pasting via shortcut, you can try right clicking the element you want to copy from the cloned site and paste it using the same method in your project or vice versa if you have tried that earlier.

Others have been having the same issue. Turns out the feature only works reliably in Google Chrome.

Firefox works sometimes and safari is a no-go. At least that’s been the experience of folks I’ve seen posting about this issue in the past. I expect this will continue to change over time, but atleast Chrome continues to work well.
