How to create bulk user accounts under a single paid subscription in Memberstack without individual charges? Answered

Hi Everyone. I'm weighing up whether to get memberstack and build with it.

I have one important questions I can't seem to find an answer too. Can you have one paying account and then create 100 account logins for that paying account. (Ideally upload via CSV and give them membership rights)

Example - We sell a membership to schools.

We want the school to pay for the account and then be able to make how ever many teachers it has members so they can access the content.

What I don't want to have to do is then charge these teachers individually or also have to pay a transaction fee for every member.

Does anyone know if this is possible?

    Hello Ed,

We've had some similar question in the community like this that you can check their answers

    https://docs.memberstack.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/27764113169691-How-to-create-a-unified-admin-experience-in-a-Webflow-school-site-with-embedded-Memberstack-controls

To follow your specific question, you can set up a way that only the school purchases certain amount of seats for their teachers by using the teams feature. Here is the tutorial how you can set it up. The paying customer (aka the school) would pay for the transaction fee per the total of the transaction each month or year, depending how you set up the billing.

Thanks Raquel - this is helpful but still slightly confused.

Does this mean lets say I charge a school £300 for an annual membership - they pay the transcation fee on this.

But I can create 100 Seats on that plan and then they can send a join link to their team for this. There is no additional transaction fee for members joining?

    Is that correct?

    You are correct.

    In Memberstack words:

We define a transaction as whenever a member pays to sign up on your website through Memberstack. A transaction fee is a service fee based on a given percentage of each transaction. If you only have free members, then the transaction fees do not apply to you. If you do require your members to pay during signup, then Memberstack charges a flat transaction fee based on your plan. Please note that Memberstack's transaction fees do not include the fees that Stripe charges.
