Is there a way to have different groups of plans / subscriptions that utilizes the Update Price attribute for each group?
Not sure if this is possible but was wondering if there is a solution to this. We have a unique situation where our business is using Memberstack for something that we call creator memberships (access to in-person member only events) and subscriptions (each studio has its own subscription). A user can have multiple plans (ex. the membership + different studio subscriptions). Our studio subscriptions have their own tiers (1, 2 & 3). Is there a way for us to use the Update Price attribute only for specific groups of plans (not affecting other recurring plans/subscriptions that the user may have)?
We're looking for a way to have update price functionality to only upgrade/downgrade within the plan group/subscription.
We understand that this is a very unique situation as most only use 1 plan group with a few tiers... Would like to wishlist this grouping feature and would like to ask if there is any workarounds for this situation in the meantime.
Thanks in advance!

Very well explained... I can see why you need it. I wonder if plan logic might solve the issue for you? You can setup login to "remove" specific paid plans when a particular plan is purchased. https://docs.memberstack.com/hc/en-us/articles/14084137149339-Plan-Logic
Hey Duncan, thanks for the reply and suggestion. We used logic for a quick workaround but the issue with that is if the client/member upgrade/downgrade themselves, the logic will switch the plan correctly but client/member will have to pays the full amount (not the prorated pricing) and wont keep the renewal date, etc.
Suggestions:
Update Price Attribute Groups
Adding Advance Logic for Add & Remove (Plans)
Great points and great suggestion. I'll pass this along to engineering to see what can be done.
For now - about how many members do you have? And how often are they upgrading/downgrading plans? I can recommend another solution which is more manual and may get you by for a time.
Thank you, much appreciated! We are setting to launch July 1st. We currently run our business on an hourly rental basis only... Memberships have been highly requested from our customers & community (in-studio traffic of ~1000+ per year from WOM alone). We also plan on adding agency client service-based plans in the near future as well (after this phase is complete). Currently the biggest goal and challenge is automation (hoping to create a seamless user experience for both the customers and business... aiming to eliminate any future double charge situations). We understand things takes time and we'd have to make shift as things go.
Feel free to share any recommendations you may have, thank you!
The manual suggestion is it create a form on your site which looks like an upgrade button/page but actually just notifies your team that a customer wants to upgrade. Then you can manually update their settings in Stripe.
I'll keep looking for solutions in the meantime. Congrats on the growth! Very exciting.
