How to access custom fields in Make when automating MemberStack to Brevo member updates? Answered
I’m working on an automation between MemberStack and Brevo using Make. Specifically, I’m creating the automation for when a member’s information is updated. While I had no issues setting up the “CreateMember” automation, I’m struggling with the “UpdateMember” automation. I can’t seem to access my custom fields, like the user’s language or age, in Make.
Does anyone know why this might be happening?
By the way, when I update a member in Memberstack interface, the trigger does not starts the scenario in Make (see screen captures in attachment). Note that the scenario to create a member in Brevo when it is created in Memberstack works perfectly well which means globally the connection between Memberstack and Brevo through Make is correctly set up.
Thanks in advance!

Hey Olivier Nachin, does updating the user via the site directly, say via a profile update form trigger the scenario that you have setup?
If yes, could you try doing that and running only the first module, that way you will be able to access the custom fields for further modules.
And are you updating the same member which triggered created member scenario accurately in Make? Just wondering if the member updated is also present in the same test mode / live mode connection that you have setup in Make.
Hi A J I have just tried to update the user via the site directly (though user form) but it does not work either 😕
And yes, this is the same user that I created and that was added correctly to Brevo through Make
Do you have another solution ?
If no, what is the best mailing solution that works well with Memberstack ? Mailchimp seems to be a good option but it is much more expensive than Brevo
Hey Olivier Nachin, this is weird since the webhooks should work irrespective of the mailing solution connected to the scenario. Could you create another webhook trigger for the updated members flow freshly and double-check if same connection is kept in the new created members workflow and then we can test if it still does not get triggered for updates done to the user via profile form on the site.
A J Did what you recommanded : I deleted the connection to create a new one and now it works ! Thanks for your help 🙏
