[Wishlist] Sorting members by date created, last login, email, and custom fields in Memberstack admin panel

The page that lists all members seems to be random. Sorting by date last logged in and date added is very important to managing inactive accounts.

Hey Sam 馃憢 They should be sorting by date added. Are you seeing something different on your end?

I would also love to sort them by any of the columns in the member table.聽

    Meaning

    • alphabetically up or downwards by email
    • Date created newest or last
    • Log in newest or last聽
    • and alphabetically and numerically for custom fields.聽

    The problem

The Members page currently displays members in creation-date order, with no option to sort by columns or custom fields. For example, we use a custom field called accessexpiresat to store each member鈥檚 access expiry date in DD/MM/YYYY format. We need to sort members by this date to identify who is approaching expiry and manage renewals efficiently.

    Why it's important

Not being able to sort the Members table makes routine membership management unnecessarily difficult. When managing renewals and access expiry dates, having to export member data to a spreadsheet or use external scripts just to sort members adds extra steps and friction.

    What have you tried?

We tried clicking the column headers, but this does not change the order. We also considered changing the date format, but this would not help while the dashboard does not support sorting.

    Suggested solution

Please introduce sorting for columns in the Members table, including custom fields. Ideally, this would support:

    • Sorting text fields alphabetically.

    • Sorting date fields chronologically, rather than alphabetically by the displayed date.

    • Sorting in ascending and descending order.

    • Selecting a custom field as the primary sorting column.

This would make it much easier to manage membership renewals, track upcoming expiry dates, and organise member records directly within Memberstack without relying on external tools.

Not being able to sort members by expiry date or by any sort of per user preference is extremely annoying and makes life unnecessarily difficult
