How to pull the Memberstack plan name into Airtable? Answered
I am using memberstack, webflow, airtable, and zapier. I’m having an issue pulling the proper name of the plan into airtable. It seems I’m getting the plan ID, and not the name of the plan. Is there a fix within memberstack, or do I need to do some airtable trickery to get the plan name to populate correctly? *I eventually need the plan name to populate on the users profile page

You'd have to do some Airtable workaround. You could create a lookup table in Airtable that maps plan IDs to plan names. Then, you can use a formula field or a lookup field to get the plan name based on the ID.
Hey Gregory Bishop, +1 to what Chukwudi said, you could also have a lookup table in Zapier you have fixed number of plans.
But in case you don't want to spend time doing that or if you are gonna have more plans and changes in future, have you tried using Find member module in the zap you want the plan connection name in?
I just tested the find member module and I can find not only the plan IDs but other details of the plans the specific user is subscribed to along with the plan name (Example shown in detail in the following screenshot of a user subscribed to a free plan). Hope this helps.
thanks for that. One more question….can you confirm that the plan ID is tied just to the plan, right? Meaning the text in the name is not individualized to the member, right?
Hey Gregory Bishop, yes I have a plan named "Free Plan A" in my memberstack dashboard and this is one of the dummy members who has been subscribed to it. So any members subscribed to this plan, the plan name would come up as 'Free Plan A'.
got it….what I’m asking is the “pln_free-plan-a-fx54v0atc” is that specific to the plan name or does every user have a different text string after the plan-a-?
Yes Gregory Bishop, the plan ID is specific to the plan name irrespective of the member.
The unique ID would be the Plan Connection ID which differs for each user of the same plan. Rest is the same for every user on Free Plan A in my example.
