How to connect Memberstack with Framer when custom attributes aren't natively supported? And verify using Login Page GSAP testimonial?

Hi! Reading all the Memberstack documentation, it is clear that Framer needs to support custom attributes to work with Memberstack. I’ve taken on the challenge to see if it is possible to connect the two using a bit of custom code. So far I’ve been able to get all of the Memberstack attributes in the right place. I’ve also pasted in the (DOM) code snippet in the header. Unfortunately Memberstack still does not work on my Framer site, and I’m trying to figure out why. Am I missing something? Or is there something else that needs to be updated by either Memberstack or Framer? Thanks!

    Hey Elias null

I looked deeper into this and found the reason why we do not support Framer is because it uses React and adds code to the site after Memberstack's script loads.

Josh Lopez what can we do to make it work? What is needed for a proper working Memberstack app on framer?

I understand that getting Memberstack to work with Framer is frustrating. Unfortunately, Memberstack doesn't support Framer due to how it interacts with React and the way Framer adds code after Memberstack's script is loaded. However, I did some research and found this article that outlines some alternative solutions that should be compatible with Framer. It might give you some ideas for moving forward.

Josh Lopez, thanks for your detailed answer. That's a bummer. I've already taken a look at the alternatives, but there is simply nothing that's as good as Memberstack. Stripe integration, SSO and Zapier integration combined (while also having freedom in the design) are nowhere to be found on the competitors. Memberstack is the king of the options out there. Isn't there really an option to make this work with Framer? I'm sure a lot of people are interested in this.

    Hi Chicha,

Thank you for reaching out to us!

I understand how frustrating it can be when things don’t work as expected, and I appreciate your patience as you explore this integration.

Memberstack was originally designed with Webflow users in mind, but it also supports React and Vanilla JavaScript developers. However, integrating Memberstack with Framer requires a slightly different approach, as I noticed Framer doesn’t use data attributes in the same way Webflow does.

To get started, you’ll want to ensure that the Memberstack installation code is properly added to your Framer project. Typically, this code goes in the <head> section of your HTML. After that, you can create a new component in Framer for your login form. Use Framer’s design tools to add the necessary fields for email and password, as well as a submit button.

You may also need to use Memberstack's JavaScript API to handle the login process and other interactions. I know this might require some extra steps, but it should provide the flexibility you need to get everything working smoothly.

While we don't provide specific support for Framer, I believe these steps should help guide you in the right direction.
