Admins dashboard view Answered
Have a question for an upcoming project -> we are going to build a webflow site for a school and integrate memberstack. When doing so can admins login to their own school website but still see the memberstack dashboard (or an integrated version) for adding users, subscriptions, etc or will it basically be a separate dashboard? Is this what the wized integration will accomplish.

A J Cool thanks!
Duncan Hamra The biggest blocker is user experience. Some of our clients want to create a unified dashboard experience where the dashboard operates as a hub that may be backed by things like fillout forms, memberstack, etc. but when they have to link off to other programs to log in etc it can mess with user experience. Not a deal breaker or anything but yes some users just need some basic views into things and admins could go directly into memberstack.
From experience, when people jump around sites, they start creating their own processes lol
Hey Ryan Nichols, other than the Memberstack dashboard, I believe if you want to give a user specific dashboard experience in the website natively for admins, you might have to create a dashboard specific to such user and integrate with some automation tool e.g. Make / Zapier to connect the actions you want the admins to have here with Memberstack. It does come with limitations depending upon the level of functionality you are trying to achieve here.
I think mostly simple functionality of adding admin members, subscriptions, and mayyyyyyybe viewing a list of active subscriptions but we may use AG grid or something for reporting etc.
Just trying to see if we can create a unified dashboard yet is all.
Ahh got it. The use-case is indeed interesting, but I believe its a bit complex in terms of execution. Not sure if the viewing active subscription / members will be possible for this as well, since it might require to create a chain of links between the admin and other active members, so not sure how efficient it will be in terms of data structure.
If webflow is using memberstack components then wouldn’t it use the active links between members in memberstack already?
Yes Memberstack & webflow enables us to have user-specific dashboards as well. Its very easy for us to create a general member specific view or functionality since we have all member information integrated.
But what I meant was, the complexity occurs when there are super members (like admins in your case) who will have access to large list of other members, so essentially the link between the admins and normal users and to incorporate that as a dashboard much like how memberstack shows all its users, subscriptions etc. might be a bit complex as per my knowledge.
But if you are looking in terms of generic overview of data, more like a reporting style dashboard rather than heavy functionality or tabs like in Memberstack dashboard, you might be able to create a high level dashboard by making use of multi-reference fields in CMS for filtering.
So the ideal implementation will depend on the level of complex functions you are looking to provide for the admins via this dashboard.
Ryan Nichols +1 to what AJ said above.
Whenever it's possible, I recommend inviting admin directly to Memberstack. We already did all the heavily lifting for you.
Question - what are the biggest blockers/reasons you want to build your own dashboard vs using the Memberstack dashboard?
