Newbie questions on Stripe in MS Answered
Hello the Memberstack team.
I have a question about the Memberstack payment method. The question may sound silly. ๐
Thanks to Memberstack and Webflow, I built a community/platform of 65 musicians in Europe.
Some of them want to help me finance the project, so they asked me if they can pay a monthly membership fee of 4โฌ.
I would like to know if I can use the Stipe integration to charge them monthly.
I havenโt created a company yet for this project.
I am self-employed in Germany and work as a freelance product designer. So maybe i could use my VAT number
Do I need to create a company to use Stripe and charge my members?
Do I have to declare those incomes on my freelance status?
A friend advised me to use PayPal at the beginning and use Stripe when the community will be more significant.
Thanks a lot for your help. ๐

I think this is more a question for Stripe than for Memberstackโฆ
You can use Memberstack for everything you suggest.
Congrats Gautier!! And yeah, Alastair is right ๐
Alastair & Julian, Thanks for your answer ๐
Hey guys! Is it possible to connect Stripe Express account to Memberstack? I'm experimenting with more apps under one business entity and I thought it might be nice to have separate dashboards for this. You can create Express account via Stripe Connect. Thanks!
I guess you could (not sure tho)... But you won't be able to use MS premium plans. Those are specifically reserved for the native Stripe integration. So you'll have to use free plans and treat them as paid... ๐ I don't think is worth the hassle
If I import a Stripe product that has a usage-based price, will this work?
I don't think so, but I have not tried it myself. I now it is not possible to create them, but I've never tried importing one
Hello,
Is there a way to collect Payment directly in Stripe Checkout and then use an automation to create the paid membership in Memberstack afterwards?
You could collect payment and then add a free plan in Memberstack afterwords. But not a paid plan.
Yeah noticed that in the API. Looking at an automation to add and remove a free plan in MS to mirror subscription in Stripe.
