How to prevent account creation when users abandon Stripe payment checkout?

Hello!! new here wondering if someone can help, so my users create an account and then hit the stripe payment. Now if they click back or exit the payment it still makes them a member, and I don’t offer a free plan. Should or can I put the stripe payment before the account creation? Thank you in advance!!

    Hey Brooke! Welcome 😀

You can not, but you should gate the content to the plan, this way users wont actually be able to access anything 🙂 Then you can just redirect members who dont have a plan to a page to pay

Thank you! One more question, is there a way to automatically add them to the free plan if they back out of the payment so they aren't a member without a plan?

Hey Brooke Vreeland, yes you can set this up in the sign up form to add the free plan to all users by default and switch them up to a different plan upon payment. You can use Make / Zapier for this as well.
