Substack is free and great for personal use. Idk if there are many businesses using it though. 🤔
Ben Tossell can you say more about that? What do you mean by weekly digests?
If we did decide to build something in-house, our version would be WAY more simple that something like a mailchimp, convertkit, or mailerlite. I assume most people would prefer one of those more focused solutions.
like when we add new content to the site, we want to ping our members on a pro plan that new content was added, and link to it. kind of like how circle does member digests weekly but it's easier for them to pull content from within the platform. this may not be worth building.
Thanks for the follow up 🙏 You can always export a subset of your users and email them via a 3rd party tool. That's the most easy/flexible option available right now.

For future readers and Ben Tossell, Jaisal Rathee
This use-case is now very much possible with Email Campaigns feature available in Memberstack dashboard.
Here's a detailed guide on how to set it up and what all is possible with this new feature.
Hope this helps.

mailchimp
you guys should add that ability btw 🙂 - weekly digests to members on specific plans. probably a big project though.

I wish Memberstack offered this feature natively, would be super cool
