How to add affiliate codes to Stripe subscription metadata using Memberstack's checkout without Rewardful? Answered
Hey guys,
Is Rewardful the only way integrate affiliate code at the moment? I’m am looking at https://tolt.io/ for affiliates which requires you to add metadata (the affiliate code) to subscriptions when the user subscribes. Is there any way to add strip’s subscription metadata with memberstack’s checkout flow? The attached picture is the code logic of what they require.

you can with the API of Stripe + Make (or Zapier)
I do that to follow people unsubscribing
In first step you can use the “Watch events” module for every new subscriptions
Then use the make an API call adding the metadata

Thibault GEO Tolt’s interface was pretty good but I ran into the issue where the affiliate code had to be created with the subscription in memberstack. I couldn’t get the above method to work for my case unfortunately, though I might be doing it incorrectly. Am testing out Rewardful at the moment and the integration with memberstack is much easier, though more pricier. Both are pretty similar though but Tolt has a bit more customisations (portal, emails etc) in their starter tier compared to Rewardful
