Creating a searchable database page

Hey guys does anyone have any ideas of how I can add this feature to my site?

I collect zipcodes at sign up and create CMS pages per user in Webflow.

I want to create a searchable database page, so people can search for the CMS pages, either through a zipcode search or browser location (ideally both).

Then I want location pages per state / city that shows relevant CMS items. I think I can figure this part out.

Does anyone know any cool tools or ways for location specific memberstack webflow sites? Any help is appreciated! ๐Ÿ™‚

I donโ€™t exactly have an answer to your question; but I feel obligated to warn you, are you certain you want to store zip codes as individual cms items?

Youโ€™ll rapidly exceed your 10,000 item limit and will have to pay mid to high 5 figure range annually for a cms limit extension.

Iโ€™d advise taking the finances of your project into account, as using the cms approach will exponentially grow your need to buy more CMS limits, so itโ€™s safe to make sure you can remain profitable even if you have to pay webflow 25-60k a year

I have opted for this approach,
I pass the latitude and longitude through their cms item and populate a map using Google places and Google maps.

    Maybe this helps :)

In theory it will reduce the amount of CMS items you need and also offer you the ability to filter by location and show locations on a map

Another option is Jetboost.io filter systems, they filter based on your cms and allow for some really good fine tuning

I see what you mean and thats good advice.

My plan is to have CMS items for each state (as a service page), that shows a map of user CMS items that have zipcode as a field within them. Then a generic searchable one where people can plug in their zipcode from the home page.

A new zipcode would only be added when a user signs up (10,000 would be great haha!).

Thank you for the blog link! Ill have a read and see if it works for what I need ๐Ÿ™‚ Much appreciated

Shadi null webflow really charges you 5 figures just to extend the cms limit? jesus christ that is a horrible pricing model and has me worried. I was thinking they would atleast be reasonable about it if all you needed was a cms limit upgrade.

Joseph DeGrazia 100% agree with you that their pricing is disproportionate. 90$ for your first 10,000 CMS items, and then 1$ per each additional CMS item (billed annually).

It makes you wonder, you could invest 60k into building your own CMS system to save on cost ๐Ÿ™‚

Last year they said they had plans to extend the CMS limit for some of the packages, and that they would try to reduce the price of CMS items, but I find that hard to believe.

They have also not taken any active steps to show us that sort of commitment

Interesting I remember reading something like that on twitter. Webflow needs some more no code competitors to force their hand. I feel like their pretty slow to improve anything in general. They've spent more time refreshing their brand and front facing website then actually improving their product.
