Use case - G2 marketplace Planned
I'm considering signing up for Memberstack. Can you let me know if it will work for my use case?
- Creating a G2 marketplace (more or less)
- There will be "Companies"
- There will be "Customers"
- First problem
- Can a Company vendor user create an account and create/update a "company" page? Will that page be linked to that vendor user account? Will they be able to edit, update, etc?
- Will I as an admin be allowed to approve new submissions or updates?
- Second problem:
- I need it to handle two different user roles a bit differently.
- The entire site will be available to both users. There will only be two things that are gated.
- site.com/categories/crm/companyname (basic profile page of each company available to all users without login)
- site.com/categories/crm/premium/companyname (advanced page - only available for "customer" users) Not able to be seen by "Company Vendor Users.
- goal here is to not allow other vendors to see intricate details of another company unless they are a verified "customer"
- Reviews are only accessible to "customer" users (they can leave reviews for companies)
- At a high level - vendor users, can only be linked to a company account. They can browse the entire site without issues, but they can never access "premium/companyname" or "leave reviews"

Hey Konrad Koczwara, I believe all of this is possible.
Apart from gating content which Memberstack can handle very well based on your use-case.
Half of the use-cases you mentioned also depend highly on the way you structure your CMS, the links you have between them and how the visibility constraints are set on the front-end to give the vendor customer / verified customer experience.
And in the first problem 2. depends on how you collect the submissions or updates from the users. If you need it to be customized, workflow tools will be handy here like Make or Zapier to make the submission and approval process as seamless as it can be for users and yourself.

Yes, I would definitely say it is possible - that being said, there is a lot of custom functionality you will have to build out for yourself, as they are not native Memberstack features 🙂

Is this something that could be made as a template? Assuming there are many platform that need similar functionality.
