Replicating the functionality of Unsplash.com Answered
Hey Guys - I'm building a 'resource library' for a client. It features written resources, video resources, audio, and art (each category has its own CMS collection). I'd love to replicate the two main functionality pieces of Unsplash.com where you can
- favourite items (I've already made this possible with Memberstack and Jetboost) and
- Have the ability to create custom "collection" folders, that the user could add resources to. Such as a collection for "Canoe Making" -- and they're able to add all of the resources they want to that collection (written, video, or any other type).
Is number 2 possible with Webflow & Memberstack?

Hey! Would the resources be public or only saved to the account that made them?
Hey Julian, the resources are public. Users don't have the option to make resources. It's like a curated public library, basically. Having a membership means you can save favourites & create collections (exactly the same as Unsplash.com).
Ahhh! Yes, this would be possible by building a Make scenario or two. You would need to first have a scenario to create the collection page, then have a scenario update the multi-reference field when the member "submits a form" (adds item to wishlist).
Wouldn't be easy, but is definitely possible
Would it then be possible to have only those users see the collections they created and be hidden from the rest of the user group? (Unsplash has an option to make your collections visible or not visible, but likely default to just not visible).
Yes it would but I think it would need to be either-or, not both options
Interested in doing a closer scope, Julian, and quoting the set up? I have done some Make stuff in the past (integromat days), but it's been a while. I don't have a ton of budget for this piece, but it would be worth checking if you're game!
I can't, but Manuel Ogomigo is super talented and might be able to!
Thanks, Julian Galluzzo 2 recommendations in a day. 😅 🙏
Similar to what Julian said that's possible using make, we can do that and set each custom folders to be visible only for signed in users.
We can connect on this, happy to help
Sounds great, Manuel.
