Sending free sign ups in beehiiv and paid sign ups in MS Answered
Help ❣️❣️ We are set to launch tomorrow and I have a question that’s potentially blocking launch can anyone help? We built the site in webflow and want to send free sign ups to our beehiiv and paid sign ups only in memberstack https://www.loom.com/share/f304fb60a75f4562816c2537c9d63dd0?sid=d3336632-08bc-4e29-adb4-6166cad50f96

Welcome emails are sent to all users who make a new account on memberstack (even if they dont have any plans assigned).
Essentially, the second memberstack stored their email and assigned a member_id is the second they get that welcome email.
If you only want to send the email to people on a specific plan, you'll have to listen for people purchasing that plan either with make.com or zapier and send the emails to the paid users that way.
You'll need to do your own email formatting though
thanks is best practice like maybe a zap from stripe to email provider?
I manage mine with a simple memberstack watch event, its looking for "Added Member Plans" which basically tells you, "Hey! This person just got this ______ plan!" It also conveniently gives you their memberID as well as their email info, so you can literally strap just 1 more module on that sends an email (like a gmail module to send emails)
But you can’t send an email from like beehiiv that’s already formatted and created right? So you’re just sending paying members a plain text gmail?
Agreed with Shadi on all!
You can use Zapier/Make with any other email tool and then it will be formatted/designed etc - if youre sending the email straight from zapier or make, then you either need the html for the email, or to send plain text
hmm ok so from zapier, I have connected gmail but it’s plain text I can’t even pop in links hmm
wait, could I get them all on a list and within an email platform that list deploys that one campaign
is it possible with beehiiv you think?
yup exactly! Ive done that with activecampaign
I haven't used beehiiv before but any email tool ive ever used can do that, so it should be!
