OpenID to receive tokens to create users Answered

Hi team,

We are trying to use MemberStack with OpenID (not as client) but to receive tokens to create users. Does anyone know if this is possible? From the resources, it looks like it can be used as a client for SSO, but not the otherway round?

I asked our AI and received this back. I was pretty sure this was the answer, but wanted to confirm

Yes, you are correct. Memberstack is primarily designed to be used as an OpenID Connect (OIDC) client for Single Sign-On (SSO) integrations. It allows you to authenticate users and manage their membership data within your application.

However, Memberstack does not provide a built-in feature to act as an OIDC provider to issue tokens for user creation. It is not designed to generate tokens for external applications to create users.

If you are looking to receive tokens to create users, you would need to explore other OIDC providers or authentication solutions that offer this functionality. Memberstack is focused on managing user authentication and membership data within your application rather than generating tokens for user creation.
