How to integrate local payment gateaway to Memberstack + Webflow? Answered

Hello,

I have experience with PayPal and Stripe, i know how easy to integrate most of the CMS' systems. However, there is neither Paypal nor Stripe in Turkiye. We have to work with local gateaways. My question is, is is possible to integrate payment gateaway other than Stripe? If yes, is there any general guideline on how to exceture this integration, payment gateaway + invoice management.

I am not a coder, I need to understand the workload here before reaching out any. Thank you.

    Hey everyone👋

    Just wanted to share a community-built workaround for anyone who really needs PayPal with Memberstack.

    Important note:
    This is NOT an official Memberstack feature. Memberstack is built on Stripe, and PayPal is not natively supported. This solution is a workaround using a Memberscript.

    What this workaround does

    • Accept PayPal one-time payments

    • Accept PayPal subscriptions

    • Sync successful PayPal payments to Memberstack access

    • Built specifically for Webflow + Memberstack

    This is meant for teams who understand the limitations and are okay using a community workaround until native PayPal support exists.

    Thanks for your question. Currently, Memberstack only integrates with Stripe for payment processing and doesn't support other payment gateways, including local ones in Turkiye. We understand this might not suit your needs, and we apologize for any inconvenience.

    Hi all, would anyone know if its possible add US paypal payments /subscriptions with memberstack?

    Seems its only EU, before i start "building" I just want to know if its possible, perhaps if I use make/zaiper? - Would that complicate things as Im looking to build something that manages an inventory of 4000 "digital products" .. I guess there is always the webflow paypal integration but if I go that route I might as well start from scratch with something like wized in-between.. thoughts?

    You can use make or zapier to add a free plan to a member, and then use Memberstack for gating stuff 🙂 Also i think stripe will soon allow paypal payments, theyre starting to roll it out

    Hey everyone, i already asked Tyler Bell for this, but he doesnt responded ;( i use webflow + memberstack + stripe. And it would be really helpful if my potential customers could pay with paypal. Is this possible? Im from Germany by the way

    Hey Luca,

    While Stripe is the currently available payment method for Memberstack, here's an article on things you might need to consider if you want to opt for any other payment provider.

    While Stripe had added support for PayPal, based on the article linked above and this comment on the wishlist item, it seems it's unreliable in few aspects.

    If you want to integrate PayPal and use Memberstack for user management, you can possibly handle the payments, subscriptions separately and give access to such users to the content via free plans in Memberstack via some automation if that fits for your project use-case.

    But that would mean you will have to take care of the flow to make it work seamlessly, you can take a look at the article I linked earlier to see if it fits for your project use-case.
