Is it possible to add a “set-up” fee for a trial? Planned

I know that this wasn’t possible for MS 1.0, but wanted to double check on 2.0…

Is it possible to add a “set-up” fee for a trial, e.g. €1 for 7 days, then €10 a month? I have tried it in MS Test and it doesn’t work. Is there a workaround or hacky solution that only requires a user to enter payment details once, or it simply isn’t possible?

Nothing native 😒 But might be possible with Make + Stripe? I think you could programmatically start the subscription or trigger a charge.

Just out of curiosity, Duncan from Memberstack is there any way that a person could sign up for 2 plans at once?
For example, let's say that the set-up fee

Alastair Budge mentions is a one-time plan with a cost of $1 and the recurring plan is the one with the trial + $10 per month.

If during sign-up both plans were assigned then the net effect would be what Alastair is looking for... I think.

I don't currently have a use for this but definitely have thought about this kind of thing.

OK, cool, thanks Duncan & John. I figured this would be the case.

Thinking about it again, a workaround solution would probably be confusing from the user’s perspective, as they would be directed to Stripe checkout (which would tell them one thing), and then see a charge on their card.

Will leave it for the time being. thanks.

John Matias it’s not possible to sign up for 2 plans at once - although we might be able to fix this at some point in the future 🤞

Yea... or if we could conditional logic to assign a paid plan. If there were a way to assign a paid plan IF they made a purchase of a paid plan then that would be cool too.
