Displaying hidden data attribute on the front end Planned

Before I post wishlist item: I know we can (now) view the expiry date of time-limited one-time memberships in the MS admin area. Is there any way to display this for customers on the front end? Some hidden data attribute I’ve missed?

I can probably make this happen!

😲 That would be a-ma-zing, Julian. It would be a huge improvement to my users’ experience right there!

Rumour has it that Julian is actually a magician when he isn't working on Memberstack stuff. 🪄

    Done! Al Mazlin https://www.memberstack.com/scripts/display-date-from-member-json

Ben Sabic I can neither confirm nor deny the allegations 👨

That is some fast as 💩 wizardry! I have been kicking the one-time-date around for another situation, so that seems straightforward enough.

Question: What happens if a member renews their membership next year? Is there a way to set a NEW one-time date when one has already been set in the past?

I’ve been hoping to get a way of displaying the plan expiry date that Memberstack already has in mind (and displays in the admin area), because I’m a bit worried something might get bumped or adjusted somewhere, and the one-time-date would end up being incorrect. (I’m not sure how it could happen, but I’m certain I’ll find a way.)

Do your powers extend that far,

Thank you! Yeah I was trying to pull the datr straight from Memberstack but i couldnt find a way to get it at all 😭

    Good question!

Being that it is one time, it cannot be overridden - but I can come up with a solution for that!

Julian Galluzzo If it helps, maybe that could be achieved with Zapier/Make? An automation that's fired when a member is updated and then checks if the date needs to be changed in their JSON

Ben Sabic possibly! I made it so the date cannot be overridden (so that in the event they go back to the onboarding page or something, it doesnt reset), but did not think of this case - I'll check what the options are for that, make could possibly help!
