Adding a one-time product to a paid subscriber’s Answered
Question. Is it possible to add a one-time product to a paying subscriber’s account via Memberstack without them having to use a discount code? (https://docs.memberstack.com/hc/en-us/articles/8723839250715)
Background: I want to sell a one-off product, but I am a little late getting everything ready on my site for this to be done directly via the Memberstack UI. I would prefer to do it first via simple Stripe payment links, then add the access to paying members afterwards.

Hey Alastair!
Yes, you should be able to do this with payment links. When you send individuals the link, you can add prefilled_email as a query parameter, with the members' email. That way the purchase will be attributed to the correct Stripe customer / that same member.
Additionally, you can also add the client_reference_id query parameter which is used to pass on a customer ID or something similar. In this case, you could add the members' ID. That way even if they change their email during the checkout, you can ensure the purchase is still attributed with the correct member. You would need to use Zapier or Make to handle that behind the scenes.
Alastair Budge check this out as well. https://docs.memberstack.com/hc/en-us/articles/8683674986523-How-to-give-away-a-paid-membership-paid-plan-paid-product-etc-
Depending on your goals you might be able to grant access with a free plan.
Thanks Ben Sabic. Adding the prefilled_email parameter wouldn’t stop Stripe creating a new customer, even with the same email, I believe. I say this as I have done this before and a new customer has been created, even when using the same email…
Duncan Hamra cool, thanks for this. I had seen it before, but it is good to refresh my memory.
I think the solution I’m looking for is probably to create a free plan, which I can then add members to manually (or via Make) when the product is ready for launch and accessible (via MS) in my site.
