How to integrate Memberstack with React and custom Node.js features when documentation only covers Webflow? Answered

Good morning!

Question regarding your React package and custom domains.

Where and how do we set your data-memberstack-domain="https://memberstack-client.customdomain.com" setting??

I only see documentation for the Webflow / Vanilla javascript integration.

CC Tyler Bell as I know you’re the one who did that video. Not sure if there’s a way not publicly documented yet.

In your config object, just add a domain field 🌝

Chuck Lapointe is there anything I can add to the docs that will make this more clear for the next person? (I’m not 100% sure I understand the situation, so I’m hoping you’ll have some insights for me 🤣🤞

In your custom domains config Duncan Hamra you only have the Webflow example, you could jsut create another paragraph right under it to explain how to do it with your DOM package

Hi everyone 👋 I'm an absolute beginner and probably asking a silly question, but if you don't ask, you don't learn. I'm currently having a SaaS application developed using NodeJS, React, etc.

Now I've come across Memberstack, as I'm very familiar with Webflow and want to implement more SaaS projects - Memberstack looks very promising for that! But I'm not sure if I understand this correctly: With Memberstack, I can create member areas. So far, so good, but can I integrate custom features (For example, a form builder, chat system, or something similar...) developed with NodeJS + React or Python, or is Memberstack not suitable for that? If it is possible, how?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hey Daniel!

Memberstack only affects your authentication setup - you can build any feature that you want with nodejs/react, and Memberstack won’t cause any issues - but, you can’t actually build the features using Memberstack.

Hope that makes some sense!! Let me know if not 😁

Julian, that definitely makes sense. This means that, in theory, I can focus on my actual functionality with NodeJS/React, and Memberstack takes care of turning it into a membership area with the complete login and payment process. Brilliant, thank you!
