Custom error message when account creation is attempted with non-allowed domain Answered
Current state:
If you attempt account creation with a non-allowed domain when a signup rule exists, the error message you see is "email is not defined".
This error message isn't helpful or instructive for users who perhaps just need to try their work email rather than their personal one.
Desired state:
It would be great if this "email is not defined" message when account creation is attempted with a non-allowed domain were one of the customizable error messages. For our use case as an edtech company, this would be something like "Looks like you tried to login with an email domain we don't recognize. Enter your school email and try again"

Duncan from Memberstack We turned off the signup rules because it was confusing for users but our sign up page is https://app.clayfulhealth.com/
Kristin Battaglini Thanks for reporting this! I think you found a bug.
Can you share a link to your sign up for? I want to replicate the error and pass it along to the team.
Duncan from Memberstack Any chance you were able to confirm whether this is a bug?
Confirmed (thanks for checking-in)! I'll let you know once it's fixed.
Kristin Battaglini whoops, I spoke too soon. Looks like everything is working properly on our end.
Here's a video to demonstrate + some possible next steps. https://www.loom.com/share/82f14412d2b44b2781e5ca597e09c448
