How to add signup link to login modal and implement automatic logout after inactivity? Answered

Hi there, I was wondering if someone could let me know how I can add a section to the login module where it gives people the option to create an account if they dont have one already (redirect to the signup module). I am using the method of adding an attribute to a button (data-ms-modal="login"), is there any way for me to adjust it to add a link to the signup module? 🙂

Essentially I want to add a section like this signup form has, to the login popup

Another question I have is, how can I automatically log people out after 15-30min of inactivity?

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!

Hey Shadi 👋 There’s not way to link from the login modal to the signup modal yet 🤔

Are you open to using one of our Webflow login components instead of the modal?

As for automatically logging people out I can help with that. I’ll whip up a demo project for you  😁 Just have to create the code…

I'm definitely open to using components and a dedicated page instead, I just loved how clean it felt to have a login/signup be a popup window 🙂

Wow thanks a lot for going through the hard work! I take it that means its not a settings option within memberstack.io but rather something that needs to be coded into the website? 🙂

Thanks again, I really appreciate all the help!

cc Josh Lopez Tyler Bell what do you think about adding the link to the login modal?

If we do, I think we should keep it default hidden and give people a way to add the link. Maybe another attribute or a setting in the backend.

Shadi null no problem! You’re correct that it’s not available in Memberstack just yet. I’m almost done with the code, so stay tuned! 😁

If it works as expected then I’ll record a quick video tutorial and make it cloneable

    Its perfect!
Its exactly what I am looking for too, timer resets upon any activity on the specific tab, but ignores activity in other unrelated browser tabs.
