How to sync Webflow course purchases with Memberstack user accounts using Zapier? Answered

Hi everyone, We are planning to built a custom checkout page using webflow to sell our online courses. But as we are using Memberstack for registering our users, can Webflow order purchases update a user on Memberstack? We also have Zapier for connecting Webflow + Memberstack. Could someone help me with this? Any support on this topic would be highly appreciated! 🙂

Here I strike again lol! Just to clarify - do you want users to buy a plan, or do you want them to have an account based on the purchase they made on the website?

E.g. your users bought a course with a recurring payment or a bag and they should have a personal account with it?

Yes exactly, so the users should buy our one time payment course and they have an account with it which can be used for login everytime.

Okay, so if I were you, I would handle it through Memberstack. You create a one-time payment plan and that's it. That would make everything much easier:)

Then you don't have to communicate the order between MS and WF, you just transfer the info about the user to the WF CMS and that's it

The reason we are switching to Webflow for payment is because of the checkout form. As Stripe checkout page cannot be customised with checkboxes, we were thinking of adding our courses as products on Webflow Ecommerce store and once the purchase is made by an user, The user should get registered in Memberstack 😃

I understand its a bit complex, but checkboxes are top priority for us due to laws and regulations.

Oh yeah, right... I haven't worked with this specifically, but I would say that maybe the new reg workflow should be like this:

Trigger / New order WF > Stripe / Find payment > Zapier filter / Proceed only if payment = true > Memberstack / Create member > Webflow / Create live item > and then all your normal new user workflow

Let me know how it goes, but I think that since WF trigger can only be about orders, not payments, you will have to just communicate with Stripe and make sure that the payment actually got through
