Recurring prices with the expiration option Planned

I need a little clarity on the expiration options.... Does this apply to Recurring prices? For example let's say I want to have a recurring plan that costs $99 per month but I only want that customer to pay for 12 months and then have it automatically expire. Is that how I can use this?

As far as I know - yes, their plan is going to be canceled after that amount of time

this is only for one time plans to set an expiration. You can read more here https://docs.memberstack.com/hc/en-us/articles/12182439942043-How-to-Set-Plan-Expirations

Thanks Josh Lopez from a UI standpoint maybe that Expiration section should not appear when the type Recurring is selected. That's really what caused my confusion. Appreciate the clarification.

Duncan from Memberstack Tyler Bell if you have a one-time price and set it to cancel after 1 month how can you see the expiration date? Is that somewhere in Stripe or in the Dashboard in MS?

I’ve flagged this to be removed 👍 Thanks John!

As for where to see the expiration, I’ll leave that to Tyler. I don’t think it’s currently visible anywhere.

John Matias can you help me understand why seeing this would be helpful to you? (I have a few ideas, but excited to hear your reply).

Thanks Duncan from Memberstack! Seeing this expiration date would be valuable to me and probably more so to the customer.

For example if I set up a one-time price/plan for a product and tell the customer that they've got access for the next Month (or Year) I would probably want to:

    1. Make sure they know when their access is going to expire so hopefully they'll decide to renew, sign-up again, or sign-up for a automatically recurring plan
    2. Be able to see this for myself so that if the customer doesn't have visibility or if they can't find the information then at least I can tell them the date it expires during a customer service interaction
    3. Use that expiration date as a potential trigger to send out some transactional emails - reminders that their access is ending in X number of days for example.
Hey Duncan from Memberstack Tyler Bell do you think that exposing the date of expiration is possible?

Yes 🙂 We’ll get it added to the roadmap!

Should be relatively easy for us to implement.

Hey Tyler Bell just bumping this question up again to see if there's any chance it could be release in the near future. Specifically would be useful to see the actual date of expiration on these one-time purchases with a set expiration period.
