How to efficiently migrate from Memberstack 1.0 to 2.0 while addressing import time, passwords, and plan changes? Answered
Hello,
We are in the process of migrating from MS 1.0 to 2.0.
We have tried an import with 6500 free members and the import seems to be long.
Is this normal? What to do please?
Thank you very much!!!

Hey Alex, the import process can take a bit of time.
Typically it can import 60 - 100 members per minute. So based on 6500 member it could take upwards of 1hr 48mins.
It’s on our list to give it a speed boost 🚀
Thanks a lot Tyler !!!!
Another small question please Tyler Bell
All tutorials are great to understand how to do it. This video is great : https://www.tella.tv/video/clbmlqir9005v0flc5qzi2bjw/view
Just to be certain, after i've imported all my customers from MS 1.0 to MS 2.0, I just have to "cancel" my MS 1.0 subscription and that's it?
I don't delete my account and my members from it? I let you manage this part?
Thanks a lot for your answer
That’s correct!
Hey guys, We’re migrating our first app from 1.0 to 2.0 and I’ve imported all of the members, however I’m unsure how the password situation works? Does their password carry over or do the members have to create a new password?
Hi Jamie,
The passwords are not carried over. The members would have to create a new password.
Hi all, I'm new to Memberstack and Make. Any tips on how can change my Memberstack 1.0 plan to 2.0?
Hey Kash 👋 You can reach out to the support team and we’ll get your subscription transferred over.
To confirm - are you currently paying for 1.0 and you want to start paying for 2.0?
Thank you Duncan
Hi - is there a simple way to upgrade from 1.0 to 2.0?
Hello Darby,
Migrating from 1.0 to 2.0 is not as straightforward as clicking a button. But is not that hard either.
You can consider 1.0 and 2.0 two different systems or providers, that why you would need to move your users and plans from one platform to the other, and also adapt the code snippets from one version to the latest.
Do you have any particular concern about any of the steps of the migration checklist?
Hi Raquel Lopez thank you, let me look into this checklist with my team and get back to you if we have any questions or concerns.
