Make scenario/Zap! Customer signs up, then branch it into an email to the customer, and an email/notification to the admin.
I tried that but somehow it's not sending the mail. if I chosen correctly, this is the option right?
When you test that trigger, is it working? If so, the problem is probably coming up around the mail action
Hello Dave ๐๐ผ
If you need more help please create a tech support ticket so we can look further into your Zapier and please film a loom.com video so we can see all your triggers and actions ย ๐
Sure, Thanks a ton! looks like zapiar came handy
Hey guys, I'd like to send an email when a user signs up in order to upsell them to Pro. From my understanding, this isn't possible to set up in Memberstack. I tried creating a Zap for it, however, with Zapier I can identify a Pro member and their respective Plan, but I can't identify a Member that doesn't have a plan.
In an ideal world, I would be able to segment based on user type, their plan, and then send an automated email based on their segment to send them down a certain funnel.
Any ideas on how to do with this with Memberstack and / or other tools?
Or perhaps it's as simple as automatically converting our sign ups to the free membership plan. How can I do this?
Hi Dean,
Another alternative to Zapier is Make.com . You may have try it out to see if that works for you but the easiest way out would be the option in your last paragraph i.e having users sign up to a free membership first, and emails sent out to them to upgrade.
The page after signup would also have an 'Upgrade to Pro' link or button just in case the user wants to upgrade right away.

What's the easiest way to automatically convert our sign ups to free membership plan?
Will this break our flow if they're signing up to be Pro?
Hello Dean Fankhauser Dean ๐
Just wanted to add in my 2 cents.
If it was me I would create a Zap and use the Delay function to check if the plan exists using the Filter function and then add your chosen Email provider to send them an email. Maybe have an Airtable/Google Sheets keeping track of what emails should be sent.
And if the user has a paid plan, use Zapier to remove them from the free plan that way they donโt get any emails about the pro.
Hey Dean, another idea here is to create a signup form with the data-ms-plan:add attribute on it. That will guarantee that anyone who signs up with that form will be joining on the free plan
Perfect. Thanks so much guys. You're awesome.
I'm setting up my first site with Memberstack 2.0 and it seems like, at least inย test mode, the welcome email is sent before payment is submitted via Stripe. It also looks like it then gives base-level 'logged in' access to that user.
Any way I can alter this to be set up for when the Plan is added instead?
can anyone help,
we want to send out an email or a slack message when a specific memberstack custom field is changed,
I know zapier and make can accomplish this but their zaps/operations triggers every time when a member is updated instead of just this specific custom field which will be a pricey venture.
Any solutions?
Hey Saad Minhas, If the custom field in memberstack is changed via a specific use-case, you can try connecting that action to trigger the actions that you want to make either via zapier or integromat (make) or any other solutions that you prefer.
