How to sync Memberstack member data with Webflow CMS using Zapier when CMS item IDs aren't automatically stored? Answered
I have a membership site using Memberstack + Zapier + Webflow. I'm unsure how to create a workflow for the two common scenarios:
- New member signs up for a plan, then a Webflow CMS item will be created (doesn't need to be published immediately) with content from the custom fields
- Member updates their information, pushed to Memberstack then needs to be updated in Webflow CMS
I run into an issue where Zapier can't complete the workflow (going from Zapier to Webflow). Any guidance or general steps I should take?

Hey Brandon 👋
There are a few things that could be going wrong... would you mind sharing some screenshots or maybe a video of your setup? That will help me trouble shoot more effectively.Â
Duncan from Memberstack I am having the same issue. Specifically, webflow requires that I list the webflow CMS item # in order to update the webflow CMS item when memberstack is updated. How do I store the webflow CMS item as a custom field in my memberstack for the member upon creation of the new cms item?Â
Hey Ben 👋 I think this video will help.Â
In this video I used Make.com to update a Webflow CMS item with its ID. You could do the same steps, but instead of updating the CMS item you would update a member's custom field.
