Embedding Website Breaks MS

Hello!

Recently someone embedded our website into their own and in doing it has broken MS. When you access the website through the embed the MS "Locks" or images/links hidden behind custom attributes are all showing.

The site works as intended live, it is just through the embed that they are all visible/clickable. You can easily access member specific content without being logged in.

Does anybody know a fix for this?

Thanks!

    Hi Emily,

Using embed breaks MS because it hides the header code and attributes that you have on your website.

What type of workflow is the other website trying to achieve? Would a link to your site that opens in a new tab (so the original site stays accessible) work?

Thank you, is their any way to not allow someone to embed the site? We do not know the person.

    Hi Emily,

In your Webflow project settings, you can click on "Hosting" and scroll down to "Advanced Publishing Options". And then you can turn on "Use Secure Frame Headers". Please remember to hit Save and Publish.

That should work for preventing any future embedding. And you can check to see if that worked for the current website. If not, I would ask them to remove it.

    :)
