1) The problem → Memberstack requires passwords to be longer than 8 characters. There's no back-end means of requiring a password long than that.
2) Why is this important → Some site admin want to require a 6-character password (like Amazon) and others want to require longer passwords (or passwords with certain symbols and characters.
3) What's your plan B → Do this in the frontend.
4) Possible solutions we could build for you → More password configuration options via the dashboard. Something like the attached Lastpass generator, but for generating password requirements.

I created a component which handles the additional password requirements in the front end.
Here's a link to the tutorial video, cloneable, and article.
It can be bypassed by a savvy user (who doesn't want a secure password?), but should work 99.9% of the time.
