How to assign multiple memberships to one user in Webflow Answered
So I am creating a custom LMS platform for a professional using Webflow as my base and Memberstack handles all the signups/logins/payments. For context, I'm also using Airtable as a database for all the content and Zapier to connect.
We are going to have 2+ different courses that we are going to sell, so 2+ memberships. However, we don't want users to create a new account for each of the memberships - everything should be accessible through one account.
I figured that I could do that through multi-reference fields in Webflow CMS. So I have CMS for Students and CMS for Courses - and they are linked together. However, when I add that to Zapier, everything just crashes.
How do people do it? How to allow people to buy new memberships from their existing accounts and how to display them in Webflow (hopefully using CMS Collection or something similar). Thanks!

I haven't tested it yet, but I am on Memberstack 2.0, so I guess the multi-membership feature should work just fine. The video you sent is fantastic, but it is not really relevant (or I just don't know how to use it lol).
Basically when a user signs up for a membership (whether it's their first one or third or more) I want that info to be sent to Webflow and then get shown in their page.
How it's working right now is that I am manually putting the references in each students profile in CMS (using the multi-reference and the CMS "Courses"), but I want to automate that.

Quick quesh: I see that members can have multiple plans concurrently but can I set up a multi-select drop-down during sign-up to allow them to purchase multiple memberships at once? I'm thinking "no" because of the after sign-up redirects but I wanted to make sure :)
Hmm while I'm not sure about the drop down box, I know that you can set priority on the plans. Which I suspect has something to do with the redirects
Thanks, Donald for bringing that to my attention! I'm looking over the data-ms-price:add feature and if they can click on multiple buttons and the system adds them to one checkout then that'll work. I'll keep testing to see.
You're welcome, not sure if you've used it but the chat bot they have on the memberstack website is extremely helpful. I believe it's based on chat GPT. Has been very good for me even when asking it very specific questions.
As far as I’m aware, MS doesn’t have a “cart” type system where you can purchase multiple products at the same time. (I would like this too!) You could probably set up some products that are effectively bundles if you don’t have too many possible combinations.

You are correct. Currently, Memberstack does not support setting up a multi-select drop-down during sign-up to allow members to purchase multiple memberships at once. This is because the after sign-up redirects are configured based on the priority of the plans.
However, you can still allow members to purchase multiple memberships by providing separate buttons or links for each membership option with the data-ms-price:add feature. This way, members can select and purchase multiple memberships one at a time.
Is it possible to have the same member be assigned to multiple plans?
