Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) Direct Debit, a common payment method in the European Union that uses customer’s details in IBAN format.

During the payment flow, customers must accept a mandate that gives the business authorization to debit the account. Stripe is able to generate this mandate for businesses to present to their customers.

SEPA Direct Debit is a reusable, delayed notification payment method. This means that it can take up to 14 business days to receive notification on the success or failure of payment after you initiate a debit from the customer’s account, though the average is five business days.

1) The problem → I hear from the customer to pay using Sepa Direct Debit.
2) Why is this important → I want to support the payment gateways my customers want to use.
3) What's your plan B → To build a custom app with Sepa Direct Debit integration.
4) Possible solutions we could build for you → Please enable Sepa Direct Debit through Stripe or another payment gateway.

This feature has been released as part of Memberstack 2.0 🎉

Sepa Direct Debit is now enabled by default and will appear automatically when members go to checkout. Stripe handles showing/hiding payment options based on a member's country, language, etc.

In addition, SEPA payments will display as an alternative to iDEAL payments for recurring subscriptions.
