Building a two-sided marketplace: Connecting buyers and sellers with payments

[This post was migrated from our old community roadmap]

1) The problem → I want to build a site like Airbnb or Upwork. Memberstack does not allow my customers to accept payments directly.
2) Why is this important → Marketplaces are hugely profitable and enable hundreds or thousands of people to offer goods and services.
3) What's your plan B → Use another service like https://www.sharetribe.com/
4) Possible solutions we could build for you → An alternative to Flextribe

We are not currently planning to build this feature. It drastically expands the scope of the product we're building today.

If your project is a 2-sided marketplace I recommend looking into the following products:

    1. Sharetribe
    2. Bubble
    3. Tangram

If you are excited about this feature please leave a 👍 and a comment explaining why this feature is important for your project. We read every comment and prioritize our roadmap with those comments in mind.

Allow my users to create a Connect account so I can split payments with my users for each payment made to me. I can already do this in Stripe via payment link but I would like to do this with Memberstack and have the payments go through there so my users (teachers/users) can view them.

Keith created a vimeo here: https://vimeo.com/824230410/d03a75a5ab?share=copy

I think integrating the stripe connect functionality with checkout pages would be a game changer for better automation paying out sellers/instructors. It would also allow sellers/instructors to access funds right away from each sale that they make :) - Keith

Workaround: Keep track of them in an Airtable and send an amount at the end of the month or whenever you have chosen
