[Wishlist] Track member login activity Not planned
[This post was migrated from our old community roadmap]
I don't have enough information on the members page to quickly see who is currently logged and their last login date.
This is important because I want to make sure my members are active.
My plan B would be to add a custom field to record when members login and populate it with custom javascript. I cannot see who is actively logged in though.
A possible solution would be to add this information on the members page.

This feature is now (partially) complete. You can't see who's currently active, but you can see when they most recently logged in.

"Is it possible to track login activity for users? Setting up Memberstack for a client and he wants to be able to go through and remove users after a certain amount of inactivity (he's only using free accounts)."

Understanding what content individual users are engaging with, what they may have viewed or rated and what date and time is important especially where there is a lot of content to explore. This helps users better understand what they have/ haven't viewed and website owners to understand what premium content is proving the most popular/ driving the most user satisfaction
Hey Tim! I 100% agree that all of those things are super valuable. My gut reaction though is to recommend an analytics tool like Mix panel, Heap, Amplitude, or Google Analytics.
I'm not sure it makes sense for us to invest too much time here when others are already doing such a great job... but I could be convinced!
It's more about providing the member user with insights on their own activity so they can see their progress/ completion than providing analytics for us as a business. All those tools you mention are designed for us to use not our audience... Make sense?
I would love to see that as well. I really don't want to add another 3rd Party App for this. The pile of add ons across our various Apps (and the costs associated) are starting get out of control :-)
It would help us to know how often our sales people log into the content pages.
