[Wishlist] Sell add-ons Planned
1) The problem → I'd like to sell add-ons on top of Memberstack. Eg: A $99 subscription plan, with the option to add single-products to it.
2) Why is this important → I'd like to upsell services to my members.
3) What's your plan B → Send a Stripe invoice manually and have the customers accept it. Build a hacky way to let users select a product and then bill them separately. Build my own Stripe integration.
4) Possible solutions we could build for you → Allow add-ons on top of subscription plans.

Use case: Client only has a free tier but sells enhancements for different sections/options for a one time payment only.
Example: Career Puppy is free. The Career Personality Assessment is a one time cost.
Current Workaround: Two plans, one free, one paid. Long term as more enhancements are created the plan variations gets super muddy.
Same here. We are going to sell 1 basic monthly membership for members to be part of our community. We'd like to sell 6-7 add on services they can purchase at-will once they are members.
Hi! I'm wondering how this feature is moving forward? Is there any ETA? It's a key feature for a project I'm working on and my client is in decision stage. Would appreciate your answer.
Is there any news on the Sell Add-ons feature, please?
I’m looking to offer companies who subscribe the ability to pay a little extra to add their other businesses/locations to their account without needing multiple, slightly discounted subscriptions.
For example: Starbucks Corp pay $100/mo + $10 per Add-on (store location), all charged under one reoccurring payment. They can add or reduce the Add-on quantity at any time which is reflected in next months bill. This would, hopefully, allow me to see a “quantity” value in a member’s “planConnections” data.
Trying to achieve this using countless Plan Prices and code logic isn’t really viable. Here’s hoping for good news 🤞
Hi Marc, I have good news and bad news.
Bad new is we don’t have a native feature to enable this. Or a way for customers to “self-serve” into this kind of pricing.
Good news is you can manually update someone’s invoice in Stripe to include lots of add ons, multiple products, etc. And it shouldn’t mess up memberstack.
Hey Duncan from Memberstack, yes I’ve been looking at the “Payment link” feature in Stripe and saw that customers can choose a Quantity for a custom Product. I guess I’ll need to build a UI for plan management and use Make to update a Member’s JSON for easy access to the subscription data.
Thanks for letting me know. I wouldn’t want to build this if a feature was in the works.
