[Wishlist] Limiting Member Actions based on Plan Not planned

1) The problem → Need to limit how many times a member can perform an action. (Example: Only allowing a customer to book a certain appointments.)
2) Why is this important → Customer needs to limit how many times a member can perform an action to control appointments without multiple / overbooking appointments.
3) What's your plan B → For the moment, this integration only has a workaround through Zapier.
4) Possible solutions we could build for you →
  • A native integration through Memberstack that could cater to those less technically inclined to solve this problem.

Please leave follow or leave a comment if this is something you need 👍 This could most easily be solved with some custom code.

Hi Duncan, looking to implement this. I will have Calendly set up to book appointments (or if there is an alternate way to allow customers to book appointments, please let me know). Under each paid plan created with memberstack, we want to limit them to a certain amount of action based on the credits they have to book an appointment. Please let me know how to set it up! Thanks.

What if there was a way to limit the amount of times a specific user accesses something? For example:I have a subscription library offering 3D models. When an artist subscribes, they get access to my full library. This is perfect! BUT, now and then I'll get someone who wants to subscribe for 20 minutes, download everything in my entire library, and then cancel and request a refund. Not cool. I can try to protect myself with terms (as I have), but it'd be even better if I could make it part of the site. What if they can't click that download button more than say... 200 times in a month? If they do, I get notified and they get a warning.  -Riley // slack

I've had similar thoughts. My products are downloadable files and I know for sure I have a certain amount of churn where folks just sign-up, download and cancel, and then ask for the refund.I've thought about implementing some sort of metering, credits, or download limits but it hasn't been worth the effort. And it sort of becomes a hassle to explain it on a sales page.Definitely curious to see if others have ideas or thoughts around this too.Think for sure you could implement some simple code on the buttons to limit the number of times they can click to download. - John // slack
