[Wishlist] Image upload fields (profile, artwork, photos, etc.) Planned
1) The problem → I want members to be able to upload an image that's saved and automatically passed to integrations like Circle. At the moment, there's no way to add a profile image in Circle unless it's linked to the email address (gmail, etc.)
2) Why is this important → Adding profile pictures makes the community feel more real and more human.
3) What's your plan B → Jerry-rig image uploads with Zapier. Or not use Memberstack SSO so folks can use the native image upload in Circle.
4) Possible solutions we could build for you → Add an image upload field type which I can add to a custom form.

Hi all 👋 Exciting update.
Julian Galluzzo created a MemberScript + tutorial which explains how to accomplish this using Make.com. \
He also created a version which works with Drag n Drop.
We'll follow up here with more info as we make progress. Thanks all!

I wish Memberstack offered an image upload or profile pic period and not just intended for Circle. I say this because a while ago when I asked about it, I think I was told that initially Memberstack wasn't really made for social type web apps but the thing is soooo many people are using it that with Zapier workarounds etc.
Duncan Hamra Thanks for the link to this older video everything works except the images don't upload into webflow CMS it just stays blank even if Zapier sends the file links in nothing shows up. Any idea on how to fix that ?
This is definitely needed. I have a solution that won't work without it.
Definitely need this. It'd be great if it can work well with Hyvor Commenting as well. I need name and profile image to be pulled to Hyvor so that it feels totally native.

Please keeps these comments coming. The more you can do to say "why" this feature is important for you and your business, the easier it is for us to prioritize.
Also to be 100% transparent, I'm having a hard time prioritizing this because we don't offer support for republic profiles yet. Once we do, I can see this feature being suuuuper valuable.

It's the one thing that's missing to make it feel like a totally native, custom, high-quality platform. It's lacking that community feel without it.
We are growing insanely fast and it would be good to have this, otherwise, we'll eventually have to drop Memberstack and do our own custom solution. I really don't want to do this as you guys are amazing and I can see it scaling with you long-term.

This would be great -- hoping to have a brand assets portion of my client portal where my clients can upload logos, brand guides, etc. I can think of how to potentially do this now with webflow forms, file uploads, Zapier, and CMS, but something less hacked together would be so much better.
Kendall Shain Have you considered using a project management tool like Notion, Trello, Basecamp, Clickup, Asana, etc. for this? I agree it's possible, but I'm not sure it's the best solution 🤔
We use Podio for this.
In fact, I just set this up with an iPhone "app" (it's nothing but an iPhone app icon with a URL redirect to the Podio Image/File Uploader but it allows my non-tech partner to click an icon on his iPhone home screen and instantly upload photos, videos, files, etc., from his iPhone so I can grab them and use them for marketing.
It doesn't have to be on an iPhone. It's just an HTML page with a URL redirect.
Just an FYI though it's not necessary for this but Podio bought Globiflow which is an if this/then that branch chain logic workflow integration that helps you manipulate the data and do pretty much whatever you want with it.
Once the image is uploaded, you can do just about anything you can imagine with it using native Podio by itself (now that they integrated Globiflow) or with Zapier (external).
Hi all,
I just wanted to give an update here that we're actually looking at integrating with Ready Player Me for avatars instead of having custom uploads. This will allow our users to create their personal avatars directly on our site and it only took a few hours to integrate (it's also free).
It'll be much more engaging for our users and opens up a lot of gamification opportunities.

Pretty simple so far! We just need to store the RPM avatar ID as a custom field in MS and just update it. All calls are being made in real-time for the avatar file though so that can be a bit slow, haven't found a way to cache the files without creating update issues.
I'm even struggling to jerry-rig a solution with Zapier - I would greatly appreciate Webflow + Memberstack specific documentation.
Is there a way to sync the profile photo between Circle and Memberstack? Even a one-way flow would be okay. For example, if the user updates their photo on Circle, could I update Memberstack with that photo too (using Make/Zapier)?
Hey Saptarshi Chakraborty, yes, you should be able to update the Member’s profile image… the only thing i’m unsure about is if this information is included in the make/zapier actions in Circle? I know we support it
