[Wishlist] Integration: Paypal Not planned

1) The problem → I'm in a country where Stripe is not supported or credit cards are not widely used. (Croatia, UAE, Germany, Brazil, etc.). My pricing model requires one-time payments and basic recurring subscriptions.
2) Why is this important → I can't charge for my product or service without Paypal.
3) What will happen if this goes unsolved → I'll need to build something custom, manually manage/sync permission, or find another tool.
4) Possible solutions → Option to add Paypal to the checkout.

Could this be possible for this year?

can you expound on this comment for me?
"A PayPal integration would be amazing :) We have a workaround currently, but without being able to modify memberships via JavaScript, it's not a great user experience and its very manual."
Would you mind breaking down the current user experience and what steps are manual for you? From there, I'll run this by the dev team to make sure the new API will support your setup. 🤞

This is something we will research in the coming months. We've received quite a bit of demand over the years, but need to check a few things before we can commit.

At my previous company we got an amazing price with stripe and the way we got it was negotiating with Adyen, braintree and other gateways and playing their pricing off each other. We also had very large volumes.
Though I would say stripe was the best gateway ( we literally integrated all of them)

    Related.
Benny Steen: "However, we decided against using Memberstack because of the lack of payment method support.
In Europe, few people have a credit card, so we need all the payment options specific to each country that Stripe provides out of the box."

We definitely need this as well. We're leaving our current membership software Memberspace because they don't have any other payment processors other than Stripe. This is stopping a HUGE percentage of sales for us. We have customers all over the world that aren't able to sign up because they don't have access to credit cards.

My first note in here. PayPal needs to die so so badly. I would be a lot more interested in something really solid like Amazon pay or even just Authorise.net as an old timer.

One very cool thing I found out about Stripe, being in Canada this is very important. You can deposit USD into a USD Canadian Account.

Do you have any plans to develop an intagration with Paypal?
This is important to me because stripe is not supported in Brazil, we have more than 200 million people, it would be a nice market for you
There are a lot of business that need a membership area but this service here have expensive costs

As Stripe is already integrated i Memberstack, is it possible to “activate” their (local) payment methods like SOFORT, SEPA etc. ?
Im sure there are good reasons why its not available at the moment, but im just curious about it
What about this -> Is it possible to bypass the Payment Informations (Credit Card) when entering a lifetime coupon?
You could show a costum checkout button which says something like “Don’t have a credit card? Pay with X)” and collect payments trough it. Then you can send the costumer the coupon and he is on board.
It’s not sexy and can be very manual, but could be one way to get costumers at all.
What are your thoughts about it?
